Be careful what you ask for.

The soreness kicks in. The distractions. The commitments. They are all obstacles in regards to reaching our fitness goals. I've seen it happen with clients and buddies. One skipped workout turns to two. Two skipped workouts turn to a week. A week turns to 2 weeks, then a month. Then you just stop working out and turn to a slob. And when you stop it takes that much more effort to make gains. So when you ask yourself should you lift or not lift. The answer is YES. A little something is better than a whole lot of nothing.
